I have a water to go bottle, and did the 550miles off road trail in Scotland about 6 weeks ago.

I’ve just completed my bike packing through some very remote areas of,

Greece 🇬🇷
Albania 🇦🇱
Northern Macedonia 🇲🇰
Kosovo 🇽🇰
Montenegro 🇲🇪
Serbia 🇷🇸
Bosnia 🇧🇦

This trip was over 1000 miles.
With the temperatures some days 50 degrees and had to drink from whatever water source I can find.
I filtered all my water and had no problems, even had to top up from the back of a fire engine after finding myself caught out in a forest fire.
Amazing product, wouldn’t be without a filter bottle now.

Daniela is one of our champions and took her 75cl Eco Active hiking in the Algarve! As part of being one of our champions, Daniela agreed to give us her thoughts and testimonial on her experience!

Over the past few weeks, the Water-to-Go bottle has become one of my go to items  and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve taken it with me on a road trip to the Algarve, used it during hikes around Moledo, had it in my backpack while walking along the Tejo and in Lisbon, and even carried it on more casual days out. It’s the kind of thing you don’t realise you needed until it becomes part of your routine.

One of the first things I appreciated was how lightweight and comfortable it is to carry, even when full. It’s compact enough to fit easily into a side pocket or sling bag, but still holds a decent amount of water  perfect for when you’re out all day. I also like how secure the lid is, and how easy it is to drink from without worrying about leaks.

But of course, what really makes it stand out is the built in filter. Having that kind of water purification with me meant I didn’t have to rely on bottled water or worry about where the next safe source was. I’ve used it to fill up from fountains, taps, and even spots where I’d normally be hesitant but never had an issue with this one. It’s reassuring to know it filters out bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants without needing to do anything extra.

What surprised me most was how effortless it is. With other filtered bottles I’ve used in the past, there was always some sort of delay or extra step but this one just works. No waiting around, no funny taste, no complicated bits. Just fill and drink. That kind of convenience matters, especially when you’re on the go or tired from walking in the heat.

I also find myself using it even when I’m not out hiking or travelling. It’s great for everyday use, whether I’m traveling or running errands and I like knowing I’m cutting down on plastic waste in the process.

Overall, the Water-to-Go bottle has earned a permanent spot in my gear. It’s a small change that’s made a big difference in how I stay hydrated, especially when I’m not sure about the water quality. If you’re into hiking, exploring, or just want a practical and reliable bottle, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Gemma is one of our Water-to-Go Champions and took her 75cl Active to the very top of Kilimanjaro!

Gemma – ‘Water-to-Go bottle is the first thing I pack when I travel. Knowing I have access to safe, clean drinking water anywhere in the world gives me real peace of mind — and it means I never have to rely on buying bottled water abroad.

I recently hiked Mount Kilimanjaro, and the bottle proved invaluable. Every time I needed a refill, I knew I could trust it to deliver safe hydration, no matter the source.’

Water-to-Go Champions take our bottles all over the world and document their feedback and experiences for us!

My wife and I have returned from 10 days in Madeira, our first visit to this hot, rugged island where there were miles of walks to follow. Not for us the need to carry a heavy supply of essential water, but using our Water-to-Go bottles, it was possible to replenish our supply in the many levadas – narrow water channels that collect rain from the precipitous mountainsides – in the knowledge that, as the water is filtered, it is clean to drink. Water-to-Go bottles have added a new dimension and flexibility to our travel – we now take them everywhere where water might be needed. Later this year we are heading for Egypt and India, where our Water-to-Go bottles really will come into their own.

The bottles themselves are a great size and easy to keep clean with no plastic taste.

We have used them in Asia, Africa and South America and not had any problems from drinking local water.

The service from Water to Go is fantastic – they shipped our first set of bottles same day when we realised at the last minute that we needed them. Subsequent deliveries of replacement filters have been extremely efficient too.

After having suffered with bloating and stomach discomfort and experimenting with my diet, but not having a full resolution, I decided to see if drinking bottled water instead of tap water would ease my symptoms.  I did notice an improvement when not drinking tap water.  I have more than once returned to tap water to test whether it really does affect me, and each time the symptoms have returned.   When my daughter went travelling and was given a water to go bottle, I decided to try it out for myself re our local tap water in order to save buying so much bottled water.  I am happy to say that the water to go bottle has been as effective as bottle water in reducing my symptoms, I therefore use it happily on a daily basis and am very grateful to enjoy the purer taste, and a more comfortable stomach as a result!

”It’s been several years since I bought my Water-to-Go bottle, and it has certainly gone to some interesting destinations –  all over the world.  When there are places which might be a bit worrying, that’s when it really comes into its own, with the very special filter.  I’ve used it in some very iffy places – in Africa, Jordan, South America – it even came up Machu Picchu with me – and latterly in India, which is quite problematic in some parts, and I was very glad indeed that I had it with me.   I never eat or drink outside my hotel or ship, but always have the bottle with me.  I’m absolutely certain  that it’s kept me safe;  I’ve never had any problems, and in those hot countries I drink a LOT of water.
I fall into the “older category” of traveller, but with a simple product like this I don’t feel that I’m taking any risks at all, despite heading briskly into my eighties!
Congratulations Water to Go for a great product!”

”Of course when we travel, health is always a priority. We go away to relax, destress and take care of ourselves mentally. The last thing we want is to have that time ruined by catching a bug. Especially when something as simple as this water bottle can help prevent it. I took the previous generation with me to Bali and used it out there, I was the only one who didn’t get sick at some point, so now I’m definitely not travelling without it.

It’s fantastic to see that Water to Go has continued to innovate. The fully enclosed lid fixing an issue I failed to pick up in my first review is a great addition. And the move to sustainable materials is a welcome one, showing that quality products and our health doesn’t have to come at the expense of the Earth.”
